ACTUATORS
KLINGER Uruguay offers a wide range of actuators, including pneumatic, electric, electrohydraulic, and hydraulic options, suitable for both on-off and control applications. Pneumatic actuators typically operate with a 90° or 180° rotation range and commonly utilize Rack & Pinion or Scotch Yoke mechanisms. Electric actuators are also available with multi-turn functionality, making them particularly suitable for applications requiring high torque. Various accessories are available for actuators, such as limit switches, positioners (e.g., Profibus, HART), solenoid valves, and manual operation capabilities. The products comply with PED 2014/68/EC, ATEX 2014/34/EU, and SIL (1-3) standards, and they feature comprehensive IP ratings.
Pneumatic Actuators
Pneumatic actuators are often used in applications where clean air is readily available and where several actuators are located in the same area.
The main benefits of pneumatic actuators are their low cost compared to other types, fast operation times, and safety positions (open/closed) in the event of electrical or instrument air failures.
The operation times can be controlled by selecting the appropriate actuator model and accessories.
We offer rotary actuators with 90° and 180° rotation for:
And linear actuators for any stroke, either diaphragm or piston type, for:
Electric Actuators
Electric actuators are mainly used in applications where instrument air is not available or where long distances are involved.
Electric actuators are often used with gear units to adjust speed or generate high torque.
The operating ranges for electric actuators include 90°, multi-turn, and vertical motion for globe and piston valves.
