Product description
KLINGER® top-chem 2003 is a modified PTFE gasket material, which – like top-chem 2000 – has excellent chemical resistance against strong acids and alkalis. The two top-chem gasket materials, however, differ in their mechanical properties, as the KLINGER® top-chem 2003 is suitable for medium to low temperatures and bolt loads. The gasket has excellent gas tightness even at low surface loads. In applications where the temperature exceeds 100 °C and the surface load is high, KLINGER® top-chem 2000 is the more suitable gasket.
The gasket can be replaced with KLINGER® top-chem 2000 PTFE material.
Typical uses
KLINGER® top-chem 2003 is suitable for several applications in the pulp and paper as well as the chemical and petrochemical industries. The gasket material is also well-suited for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries, e.g. in steam applications, oxygen pipes and applications, where the requirements for clean air are high.
Approvals
KLINGER® top-chem 2003 gasket material has i.e. BAM, DIN-DVGW, TA-Luft and FDA approvals.
