KLINGERSIL® C-4500 fibre gasket

KLINGERSIL® C-4500 is a high-performance, asbestos-free gasket material based on carbon fibre and NBR. The gasket is designed to be used with mild alkaline media and in high temperatures, making it particularly well-suited for applications in the pulp & paper and chemical industries. The material offers excellent resistance to high pressure and is suitable for continuous operating temperatures of up to 250 °C. With its outstanding load-bearing capacity and chemical resistance, it performs reliably even in harsh process conditions involving steam, hot water, or aggressive media.

If required, KLINGERSIL® C-4500 may be replaced with KLINGER® top-chem 2000 (PTFE-based) for strong acids and alkalis, particularly when standardising gasket materials across a plant.

Typical uses

The carbon fibre based gasket is a suitable sealing material to be used with high temperature water and steam as well as oils, gases, brine solutions, fuels, alcohols, mild organic and inorganic acids, hydrocarbons, lubricants, and refrigerants.

Approvals

KLINGERSIL^® C-4500 gasket material has i.e. BAM, DIN-DVGW, TA-Luft, and Fire-Safe approvals.

Available thicknesses: 0.4 mm to 6.4 mm
Tolerances according to DIN 28091-1
